All day trips include pickup from your Arusha hotel, a private guided tour of the park, lunch, and transfer back to your Arusha hotel.

Option 1
Arusha National Park

Only ~30 minutes from Arusha, Arusha National Park is a great day trip option. With forests full of monkeys, amazing views of the Arusha region, and an area known as “Little Serengeti” where you’ll spot zebras, wildebeest, and other animals found on the plains, you’ll have an excellent introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. A walking safari is also possible in Arusha National Park. You are most likely to see: Wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, monkeys, antelopes, and many different types of birds.

Option 2
Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is a gem ~2 hours from Arusha. Often compared to Serengeti, Tarangire boasts wide open savannas which are a sanctuary for wildlife and a great opportunity to see predators and prey. You are most likely to see: Wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, eland, antelopes, cheetahs, lions, tons of different bird species, and massive herds of elephants.

Option 3
Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. Known for its diverse ecosystems, Lake Manyara is home to dense jungles, grassy plains, and acacia woodlands, each of which is home to distinctive wildlife making it a microcosm of the full safari experience. The great soda lake which Lake Manyara National Park is named for is flocked to by wildlife especially during dry seasons. You are most likely to see: Buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, a variety of monkeys, mongoose, dik-diks, klipspringers, and more than a few of the over 400 species of birds found in the park.

Option 4
Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Tanzania. The most notable part of the conservation area is the large crater that was formed millions of years ago when a volcano collapsed. As a result the crater formed and has remained unchanged every since. Inside is a microcosm of Tanzania’s wildlife, home to most of the animal species found throughout the country. With the crater walls serving as a natural enclosure for the conservation area’s animals, you have the chance to spot all your favorites. You are most likely to see: Wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles, elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas, and many different species of birds!
